Technical question about adware?

I have a trial version of Trend Micro anti virus 2007. everytime I do a scan for spyware, a message appears and says:

unable to remove suspisious software

name: Adware_Poper

I have followed the instructions on how to remove it.... but it doesn't tell me where I can find the program on my computer to delete it. I have tried to search for a file named Adware_Poper but it comes up empty. aperently Trend Micro needs me to delete it manualy, but I can't find it. What gives?

Sometimes a piece of malware protects itself by holding onto a file and not letting it be deleted. If you run the anti-virus in Safe Mode you might be able to get rid of it.

To get into Safe Mode:

1.Log out and reboot your machine.

2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key

3.Select Safe Mode from the resulting menu.

4.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different. You won't be able to see the Internet, for instance. You may have to log in as Administrator to delete the bad files.

5.When you're finished, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

If you follow the directions to remove it, it will remove the program folder as well (if it is thorough).
