I think xp is better, because it's more compatable with all softwares. Vista you can't even use Norton anti virus without installing a patch. Vista looks nicer than xp but it doesn't mean it functions better. I think the operating system will shut down businesses because it doesn't work efficiently. My scanner from my old computer with xp doesn't work anymore using vista. I don't think the operating system is worth the bucks just yet, unless they have a serious service packs. What do you think?
Who's sick of using windows vista?norton
man i hate vista even though i havent really touched it! it looks sooo nice but it sucks out your memory..honestly vista has some good features but i wouldnt recommend it yet. it will take about at least 2 years for them to patch it up and fix it. plus its not only their fault....all companies that sell devices and such just like your scanner they need to create drivers that are compatible with vista...i am happy with xp i am running 2.5 gigs of ram on my xp machine and its just great no freezing or nothing works like a charm : )

What's a Vista?
i prefer xp too.
I've heard a lot of bad reviews about vista, our works IT people also think it isn't ready for proper use yet. I haven't had any trouble from either XP or Vista because I use opensuse with a KDE desktop, it has the 3D desktop which Windows has if you want it and none of the aggrovation you get with Windows. I think it's well worth using especially for internet work or networking because it's much more safe %26 secure than windows.
I have heard a lot of bad things about Vista. I still use XP though.
So many people have been disappointed with Vista, myself being one of them. After all it was 6 years in the making, why on earth Microsoft didnt apply the Aero interface to XP and called it 'XP 2007' or the like lord only knows. If there had of been an 'XP 2007' at least we would have kept the reliability and stability of XP, if this were the case I am sure we would all be praising Microsoft.
