Is this dell 1521 laptop worth $1,150 + tax? I just bought it. Was it a good deal?

Hmmm. The Dell site offers your Inspiron 1521 laptop setup, only with a glossy 1440x900 instead of a 1280x800 anti-glare display screen for $1297 plus tax, shipping, etc.



So, you bought it for less than the manufacturer's (Dell) suggested retail price. If this laptop does everything you want or need it to do today, then it was a good deal.



Just remember these things become obsolete the instant the cash leaves your hand. Personal computers have almost the worst "off the lot" depreciation around, except maybe for buying a new car. Somehow we learn to live with it.
