Do I really need any protection software on my computer?

Really I dont care if I get any viruses infact I reninstall Windows Vista every week! Dont ask why but I just do its almost like a habit! Is it bad for the PC?

Also the reason I dont want any protection utilities is because of my computer performance! I just want to to be and STAY fast! If you can reccommend any ANTI-VIRUS firewall ect. (whatever I need and preferabily one that is free) that will not slow down my computer, I will GREATLY appericiate it! thanks!

if you don't install more program in your computer, it is stay fast . you need an anti virus for protect your computer. I propose Kaspersky. it is the best anti virus , It think.
