It's probably a Virus.

Check if the BIOS is correctly configured. If yes, start from the Windows CD, open the console recovery, and type FIXMBR

It is not a virus. When you boot your computer it may be looking for the boot sector i.e where your window resides (usually you C:\)

Check few things:

The computer may be looking to boot from the CD Drive or the floppy drive.

Do you have a floppy in your floppy drive?

Do you have a CD in your CD Drive?

If yes, then remove and try to boot it again.

If there is nothing in it, then

Unplug the computer, open the case and make sure all

connections to the drive are tight. Then see if it will boot.

Worst case - your Harddisk (HDD) has crashed.
See if you can start it in safe mode. You may have corrupt files or bad disk sectors. A simple solution is to try and restore the computer or reload the operating system.
