***Desktop 2 - IBM NetVista 1.6Ghz - $125***
17'' Flat CRT monitor, KB, mouse, 512 mb, 20Gb HDD, currently being sold by 2nd owner, No original software.
Are these desktops worth it? Which used one should I buy (Desktop 1 OR 2)? Pls list a reason or 2! Thnx.?internet security software
well that first one sounds way better. I'd be surprised if that 20 gb hard drive is still anywhere near it's life expectancy, my 160 gb drive failed 2 years ago. and you'll use up 20 gb pretty fast. get the better one, and still buy a backup hard drive for your data, it still has the software, which is very good.
also, don't listen to the "pentium screams old technology" lady she probably uses her computer for way more than you will. I have a lot of friends that are in the same boat as you, looking for something cheap just to use so you can get work done online and make documents. that first computer is perfect. For that. If I'm wrong though you may want to invest a lot more money.
