Slow Computer?

I have an ACER Aspire 3620 laptop. I've had it for about 2 years and I've been very happy with it.

Recentley it has been going VERY slow. It just happens between 8 and 10 at night. You try to shut down a window and it takes about 10 minutes for the window to close..... and the internet slows down also......about 10 minutes for a page to load.

I thought maybe it was the virus software causing it (AVG) but yesterday I disbabled the software during that time and it still went slow.

There are no updates happening with windows.......

I've never had issues with AVG in the past.

I downloaded yahoo Anti-Spy to see if that would help......and I also ran McAfee to see if it would find any viruses....

and nothing.

I'm stumped.

Any suggestions.................

Hit ctrl alt delete, from there click on processes tabs. There is a list of everything running on your computer.

You can examine the list and see which things are using the most memory. Go through the list and look for things that may not be necessary. Toolbar loaders search helpers. Search on the net for the ones you do not understand. This is just a quick way to get an idea of what is using up all your computers processing power.
