Problem with a malware.?

it says:" notice your computer is infected and is not working at a highest level.download internet defender." and when i tried to download it, it detected a virus but it doesnt do anything.do wipe it out ,they wanted me to purchase their software.i tried anti virus and anti spyware and it did helped trace other viruses but it doesnt stoppped the problem i wanted to be fixed.now everytime i connect to internet, it pops out.and from the time that malware came my internet connection slowed down and i cnat play yahoo pool anymore which is the very very bad thing. please help me in here guys. thanks

spybot search %26 destroy 1.5 at http://safer-networking.org

these are all free and compatable with vista

if its XP for your OS then

also be sure you do disc clean %26 defrag X2
