in the bottom right hand corner of my desktop in the system tray i have a flashing question mark icon. it doesn't matter if i right or left click it it takes me to spylocked.com and tells me to download ani virus software. i dont want to download this software as i have already paid for and downloaded other anti vurus software and its done the job and cleaned my computer. how do get rid of this icon and how did it appear? someone please help me!! also i keep getting a system alert message telling me my pc is infected with spyware and to download it but i dont want it!

first step is to run your Anti-virus to verify if your system is free from virus
secondly make sure the unwanted icon is not installed on your system - to check the status of the program click on start%26gt;control panel%26gt;add or remove program if the program is there simply click on remove and it will uninstall it.
if the problem persist then write back and i will tell you how to use your security features to block a program good luck
Sounds like you still have spyware. You should probably get ad-aware and spybot make sure they are up to date and run both of them in safe mode. This is usually the best way to get rid of spyware. Also Hi-Jack this is a pretty good free program, but if you don't know what your doing you could damage your operating system and have to reformat and start over.
*try avg anti root kit to remove it
