Need Help Setting Up?

Ok so i just got a new laptop and i want to secure it, only thing is i dont really have money to go and spend right now..

I was wondering if anyone can help me on some free anti-virus, spyware, adware software that i can download.

Here's my 6 step guide:

1) Antivirus: 'avast' http://www.avast.com/

or

'AVG' http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/...

or

'antivir' http://www.free-av.com/

All very good and free.

2) Firewall: Comodo personal: http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ or zonealarm (I prefer comodo, zonealarm just confuses the average pc user) If you haven't installed a firewall yet, go and install one now! Seriously, a firewall is the most important security measure - stop reading this and do it now, then come back. Most people don't consider windows' built in firewall to be secure enough either.)

3) Antispyware: 'Ad-aware' http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ AND 'Spybot' http://www.safer-networking.org/ (for regular scan, they complement each other) and maybe tenebril 'spycatcher' (for realtime protection - eats up a little of your pc's resources, but is worth it. Besides, if it's a new laptop, then it can handle it) Make sure to download spycatcher express, the free version: http://www.tenebril.com/downloads/
