How do i make my vista operating system load websites faster on a verizon dsl connection?

ok, my windows vista operating system runs really slow when loading up webpages and i'm using verizon dsl (the speed is around 650 kbps/160 kbps most of the time - out of a maximum of 768 kbps).when trying too watch videos on youtube or listeng to online radio, its just keeps buffering and runs slower still!! i'm just using a westell 6100 modem on my home computer with no routers or other computers.i tried disabling all the anti-virus and spyware software and also the firewalll but to no avail.i'd realy, really, aprreciate your help.

try some house keeping on your computer, gee I haven't heard a good word about Vista since it came out. I would have stuck with XP for another 12 months. Your download speed is governed by what u paying for. So ask your ISP. You may have a lot of un necessary programs starting up which may be using resources on you PC. Turn them off.

Welcome to Vista stage 1 . We hope Vista stage 2 will solve lots of these problems. My friends still prefer XP Professional as first choice as it does not have lots of these problems.
