How do you remove a reminder on your computer that doesn't seem to be related to any relevant s

On my computer, I keep getting a box that pops up and says, "Reminder Sunday, October 8th....etc." And then it goes on to ask if I would like to check the latest internet offers. It gives me three choices, "Yes." "Not right now." "No, don't ask me again." But when I click on those choices, there is no "Ok" button or "Proceed" or even an x in the corner, it is just a blank box. What can I do to get rid of it? I tried the Microsoft anti-spyware thing and anti-virus programs too...any ideas?

It's not likely spywire or a virus. Instead, something (a software installation or whatever) has likely set up a scheduled reminder on your computer.

Go to Start / All Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Scheduled Tasks.

Look for a task that might be related to this and, if there, right-click on the icon and delete the task.

Please let us know if this works.
