Fast computer gone slow(graphics card)?

ok my computer is fairly old but got some improvements over times.

my computer has a 2.8 processor i have 1GB of ram and i have a 9500 ATI grapics card 128 mbs.

ok this is my problem my computer used to run battleflied 2 and half life2 really fast. but now my computer just last few mounths start slowing down and i dont know way. I tryed everything i could think of i tryed defragment my drive, clean up regestry (pardon my spelling) i did anti-virus and clean out ALL of my virus so dont say its a virus. i also buyed software to speed up my computer system xp. i think it might have to do with something with my graphics card but i really dont know. tryed reinstalling the drivers and i got mild result in improvment. i am LOST i have an ok computer i know my graphics card is the low end verison but should work on all my games. so some plz HELP ME!!!!

you might have to check your RAM memory

for games like bf2 and hl2...you need atleast 512 MB or more.

if you don't have enough...then upgrade your memory

you can check your memory by right clicking on My computer and click on properties, under general tab you will see how much your computer has.

OR

you might or might not have viruses, but do check if your virus definitions are updated...

OR

you might have spyware, spyware usually is the primary reason for computers to slow down. you can get spyware just by even browsing the net.
