I have a virus that Types random Gibberish whenever i type. Help?

Whenever I type, Random gibberish will pop up along with the keys i press. Also, It seems like other buttons are pushed, like the enter button. No anti-virus or Anti spyware yet has been able to find it, if its even malicious software at all.

Im on a Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

Please, can anyone help me? I'm driven insane.

it's your keyboard's built in hardware....you probably have either a used keyboard or a messed with one

Avi files not working? is it a virus? torrent download?

I had a movie on my pc which i downloaded as a torrent. I also downloaded cracked dvd burning software. Anyway, i added these both to my brothers computer, which has no anti virus protection, as he isn't connected to the internet anyway.

Anyway, i installed the dvd burning software and tried to open the movie (avi file) with it, to burn on to a DVD, yet when i do so, the software just automatically closed. It could open other media files but not the movies?

I then uninstalled the software and tried to click on the movie, yet when i go inside the folder which the movie is in, i keep getting the windows error message. "windows has encountered a problem and has to close" (i'm sure you've seen it before). This happened every time.

I managed to delete the movie from the pc, but the problem now is that everytime my brother click on an avi file, windows media opens yet gives an error message "windows media has encountered an error and has to close". All other files work except avi

ur missing codecs and trying to convert the wrong way .. install ffdshow and see if it sorts the playing problem out ...

Yes you are right great unit. The Vostro is the no frills business version of the Inspiron, a very nicely equipped LT at a great price.

Dell Computers in general Suck.... Don't waste your money. Go with Systemax computers... They are built and supported in the US. Dell support is in India now. I have a Dell "performance" machine and it freezes up and takes so long to boot I'm ready to throw it out. I had a lot better luck with the Systemax I had and will go back to one by years end.

Also, I was working away on my computer when all of a sudden a pop up came up from the Firefox browser I was using saying that there was malware or spyware on my computer and needed to run a full scan now. I immediately closed it but then it took me to a website that started to run a scan on my computer, saying that there was a trojan on my computer and a number of other viruses. I assumed this was fake just to get me download the software. I just wanted to know what this was (spyware, adware, malware) and what I can do to remove it. I am currently running a Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and than once completed I also plan to run a Spy Sweeper spyware scan and then just a regular Norton Anti-Virus Scan. Any tips on how to remove this virus if it is one? All answers appreciated. Thanks.

You are correct assuming this website is a fraud. Its a ploy most websites and spyware use to lure inexperienced people to download their software. Try using Ad-Aware 2007 or Spybot Search %26 Destroy from Downloads.com their downloads are pre-scanned and safe. The software is free and does a great job.

It has made my computer wallpaper say :

"YOUR PRIVACY IS IN DANGER

Download Privacy Protection Software" and every time you click on the wallpaper a website pops up

Every so often, the bottom tool bar disappears, then i get a message from Norton Anti-Virus (The anti-virus i use) that it has blocked Trojan Horse! Is that the virus?]

I have scanned my computer several times, and it doesn't find anything!

Is that scam advertising trying to sell you, one (or more) of these useless products? Don't buy anything that it is advertising It's a scam! If it is one of these, then it is likely an infection called Smitfraud that is causing the phony warnings. It is scam advertising trying to swindle you. Virus pop up?

sometimes while on the net, i get dis pop up from 'AVS system care'. it says first with a little mesge saying stuff like if my pc acts weird or crashes etc. then if u close it u get another popup about a free system scan and free AVS software installation.

i wanted to know if this is genuine. i have AVG anti virus and it hasn't picked up anything.

If you have AVG and it hasn't picked anything up, you can be positive that this is only an advertising pop-up. The best thing to do is to use your pop-up blocker to stop this site's pop-ups.

I get the same thing... it's not a virus, but it is a hassle. Just keep your AVG updated, and scan every night if you can help it. If something does come from it, it'll be gone before you know it.
