Xp file missing?

hi my cpu configuration is AMD 2800+,1 GB ram, 160 GB SATA HARD DISK.

I AM USING WINDOWS XP.

AND

i am using DEEP FREEZE SOFTWARE.

norton anti virus 2003

computer working good.

but after few days of installation while (3 to 7 days)

computer not booting

error message is

%26lt;windows root%26gt;system32/hal.dll --- file missing reinstall or copy above file .

what"s the problem. i formated c deive and installed os.

but after few days same problem happining

weather deep freeze software problem or hard disk problem???

plz help

It looks like you have a pretty good system...

Deep Freeze software isn't the best, and I suggest you get something better.

If you are getting the problem after multiple installs, it's Norton.

One of the best things you can use as an anti virus is AVG free.
