I am having trouble removing four cookies.?

The cookies are adorigin.com, advertising.com, mediaplex.com and preferences.com. I am able to delete any other cookies that I want. I use IE 7 and have Windows XP. I currently have Norton and it detects a tracing cookie every time it scans. I figure I must have some kind of problem because I am receiving spam messages with my name in it. My Norton is just about to expire so if anyone has suggestions about better anti-virus or anti-spyware software to use, I would greatly appreciate it.

You might try downloading Ad-Aware by Lavasoft for free. Go to link and select the green tab "Ad-Aware Free".
